Murano Medical Centre
Glasgow Web Design were approached by the Murano Medical Centre (Maryhill) to design, build and support a website to provide better "customer service" to their 8,000 patients.
Initial Consultations
Initial consultations were held to decide what services should be offered online - taking into account issues such as the security of confidential data and ease of use for patients and staff. The pros and cons of a number of different online services were considered. It was decided to offer secure messaging, online appointment booking and repeat prescription ordering.
Business Benefits
These online services benefit the medical centre staff: secure messaging can eliminate the need for some appointments; online booking can eliminate the need for some telephone calls. But the services also benefit the patients - patients can access confidential medical advice outwith traditional working hours, and book appointments & prescriptions faster.
Step-By-Step Design
The way the finished website both looks and functions was reached using a step-by-step design process - with regular input from the clients. After the site was launched further modifications were made based on feedback. This made sure that the site is easy to use.
